Job Title: Infrastructure Project Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the implementation of our datacentre infrastructure strategy.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex IT systems, with a strong focus on cloud computing, virtualization, and enterprise networking.

  • This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:Data Centre Operations:
  • Develop and implement best practices for datacentre management, including power, cooling, cabling, and rack management.
  • Design and deploy highly available and scalable IT systems, including servers, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Migrate existing IT systems to new platforms, including cloud and virtualized environments.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, hardware replacements, and backup procedures.
  • Manage datacentre capacity planning, including forecasting demand and allocating resources accordingly.
Linux & Virtualization:
  • Administer and optimize Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows servers in DC environments.
  • Deploy and manage VMware vSphere clusters, HA/DRS, vMotion, and resource pools.
  • Configure and manage NSX-T for micro-segmentation, distributed firewall, and routing.
  • Support VDI environments (VMware Horizon, Workspace ONE, UEM, App Volumes).
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting/Ansible for efficiency.
Networking & Security:
  • Configure and manage L2/L3 networking, VLANs, VXLANs, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Maintain datacentre network topology including core/aggregation/access layers.
  • Implement network segmentation and security policies across virtual and physical networks.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving compute, storage, and network layers.
