Senior SCADA Engineer Position

We seek an experienced engineer with in-depth knowledge of GE PowerOn platform configuration, SCADA/DMS/OMS workflows, GIS integration, and utility operational processes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PowerOn configuration, developing PL/SQL/Shell/Perl scripts to automate data processing and system operations, integrating systems with GIS, AMI, OMS, and enterprise systems, implementing and supporting FLISR, Volt/VAR Optimization, Load Forecasting, and Switching Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop customized business logic, alarms, telemetry points, and control actions.
  • Design and implement data processing automation using PL/SQL, Shell, and Perl programming languages.
  • Integrate disparate systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve real-time operational issues on SCADA/DMS platforms.
  • Provide expert training, documentation, and support services to control room operators.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in SCADA/ADMS/OMS engineering within the electric utility sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of GE PowerOn (Advantage / Fusion / Control).
  • Proficiency in SCADA protocols (DNP3, IEC 101/104, Modbus).
  • Strong scripting ability in PL/SQL, Shell, Perl.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of distribution network modeling and GIS-to-ADMS mapping.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.

Skills:
