Job Role:

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative Refrigeration & Air Conditioning products.

This role involves collaborating closely with Product Engineers, Product Management & Cross-functional teams, from ideas/concepts to translating them into market-ready products.

  • Must be responsible for Designs of Refrigeration and Air conditioning products considering Cost, Manufacturability, Serviceability, Regulatory Compliance, Code requirements & safety.
  • Work closely with Cross functional teams (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sourcing, Testing...) to move products from design to manufacturing.
  • Participate in Design For Manufacturing Analysis, Process Performance Analysis's, Design For Assembly & Reliability-Centered Maintenance as required.
  • Review of 2D/3D designs to ensure compliance to standards and best practices.
  • Lead and coordinate design reviews, ensuring approvals from all relevant cross-functional teams.
  • Develop concept designs related to sheet metal and plastics using advanced design methodologies and techniques.
  • Perform advanced detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
  • Contributes design modifications to improve the quality and function of the product.
  • Ensures that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
  • This role demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to drive design activities with limited supervision.

Qualification:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expert knowledge of SOLID Edge/Teamcenter software techniques and tools, experience in sheet metal and tubing manufacturing (tooling and fixtures).
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (SAP, Teamcenter...)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Refrigeration knowledge is a plus.
