Job Description:

Summary:

As an Instrumentation Consultant, you will lead the effort to developing, assigning and managing maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment. The role supports asset reliability by developing and assigning appropriate equipment strategy. Acting as the primary point of contact, your day will involve overseeing the equipment strategy assignment, collaborating with team members, and ensuring project success.

Purpose & Accountabilities:

  • Perform engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzer, and control systems.
  • Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers)
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Understand asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  • Understand Preventive, Predictive, Condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  • Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Know hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.
  • Skilled Instrument Maintenance Technicians with understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of field instrumentation, including control valves, on-off valves, various field instruments.

Required Skills:

  • Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance and inspection, Field instrumentation preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • SAP PM Module, Asset Performance Management.
