Overview

  • The role demands procurement expertise, strong vendor management, and technical understanding of electrical materials to handle end-to-end procurement of electrical items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase Management: Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Float RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Procurement Planning: Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project needs.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits for quality assurance.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).

Requirements

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–3 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
