Senior Risk Management Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the bank's non-financial risk exposure is adequately managed in line with the group-wide risk appetite and non-financial risk management framework. To achieve this, the non-financial risk management function requires experienced risk managers with seniority and tools to assess complex risks and intervene where they lie outside the bank's risk appetite.
A comprehensive, integrated, simple, and easy-to-use non-financial risk framework with supporting technology is required to assist risk identification, assessment, and remediation. A strong understanding of the business combined with regular engagement is necessary to provide support, review, and challenge in line with the 3 Lines of Defence Model.
Required Skills and QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
- Execute quality assurance processes to ensure non-financial risk management consistently meets quality standards set by the bank.
- Provide data insights to facilitate decision-making and improve operating efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiencies, standards, processes, and tooling.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Advanced user of MS Excel and Access database with experience of data aggregation and manipulation to produce meaningful management information.
- Worked with senior stakeholders within a high-pressure dynamic environment.
