Job Description

We seek a seasoned Breakwater Construction Specialist to lead the design, construction, and management of port and marine infrastructure in Trivandrum, Kerala.

This is an exciting opportunity for experts in coastal and marine engineering to contribute to key coastal infrastructure growth in the region.

  • Design & Construction of Breakwater Systems: Develop comprehensive plans for rubblemound, vertical, and hybrid breakwaters to safeguard port infrastructure.
  • Project Management: Oversee port expansion projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coastal & Marine Engineering: Apply expertise in hydrodynamics, coastal erosion, and sediment transport to optimize breakwater and shoreline protection systems.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with government bodies, environmental agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure project execution and regulatory compliance.
  • Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HSE guidelines and sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact during construction.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in breakwater construction, port development, or coastal engineering projects.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing breakwater systems, including knowledge of materials, hydrodynamics, and coastal processes.
  • Ability to manage large teams and collaborate across departments to meet project goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in challenging coastal environments.
Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • B.E. (Civil Engineering) or equivalent.
  • Coastal Engineering Certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in the Kerala region or on Indian port development projects.
