We are seeking an experienced Sr. Marine Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Trivandrum Port.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the growth of Kerala's maritime infrastructure by leading the development and modernization of port projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, analysis, and execution of key structural components for port infrastructure, including breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for the execution of port infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, government agencies, and other engineers, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural designs into the overall project.
  • Risk mitigation strategies and safety measures: Oversee compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards for all structural designs and construction work.
  • Supervise construction activities on-site, providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
  • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability using advanced structural engineering principles.
  • Prepare progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on marine and port infrastructure, including significant PMC experience.
  • Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering, specializing in marine structures or coastal engineering.
  • Proven experience in project management of large-scale port projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, and other tools for design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of marine structures, including their response to wave forces, tide variations, sediment movement, and marine environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Expertise in contract management, procurement, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project progress to stakeholders and clients.
