Job Description

The primary role of this position is to develop and implement efficient test methods to ensure minimal tester downtime and optimize Tester Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and improving daily activities to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the Test Engineering department.

In this role, you will be involved in critical discussions with customers regarding technical matters and ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with Sanmina's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, along with relevant work experience.

To excel in this position, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of 8D, 4M, CAPA, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Tester Capacity Planning: Plan and manage tester capacity for production and debug purposes.
  • Test Fixture Design and Validation: Validate design and concept for test fixtures and equipment, and work on proposals and approvals.
  • Tester Performance Optimization: Ensure that tester and fixture performance meets Sanmina's requirements, specifications, GRnR, and Cpk targets before approving the tester qualification report.
  • Issue Resolution: Report and resolve issues related to testers, fixtures, software, equipment, and suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Product Yield Improvement: Develop and execute plans to improve product yield and reduce scrap.
  • NRE and Spare Budget Planning: Plan and manage NRE and spare budgets for testers.
  • Customer Asset Inventory and Audit: Ensure accurate inventory and audit of customer assets.
  • CFT Meeting Participation: Participate in Critical Failure Technology (CFT) meetings and execute actions in a timely manner.
