Homologation Process Leader

Job Overview:

Our organization seeks a Senior Engineer to lead the homologation process for retrofit emission control devices and automotive products. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving all homologation-related activities, leading the homologation team, and ensuring the successful completion of type-approval and COP projects that meet regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strategic homologation plans and roadmaps for retrofit emission control devices and automotive products.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with test agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to the homologation team, ensuring effective execution of strategies and timely completion of tasks.
  4. Monitor and report on the homologation process, including risks and issues, to senior management.
  5. Manage resources effectively, allocating them as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
  6. Take ownership of homologation-related projects, fostering a culture of process-driven ideas across the engineering team.
  7. Work in ambiguity while maintaining team focus and motivation, contributing actively to company-level strategy.
  8. Manage external partners and provide guidance on homologation requirements.
  9. Develop and maintain necessary contacts for regular exchange of regulatory information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in homologation, certification, or regulatory compliance, with a minimum of one year in a leadership role.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and homologation partners.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
