Job Title

A Strategic Category Manager for IT Procurement is required to oversee the management of IT spend category, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and driving cost excellence through negotiation, contracting, ordering, delivery, and settlement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure all types of IT hardware, software, and related services, including negotiations, contracting, ordering, delivery, and settlement.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements, including internal and external audits of procurement to pay cycle (p2p).
  • Participate in annual budget planning, track due dates/renewals, and prepare ahead of time for negotiations and closure.
  • Mitigate risk, develop alternatives, optimize/strategize the spend to achieve both speed and cost excellence.
  • Take ownership of the spend category, managing it with consistency in delivery/availability, cost savings, risk mitigation, and continuous improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong background in engineering or IT with experience in similar roles within large, complex organizations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
