Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Urban Green Cooling Program, focusing on low-carbon cities and urban resilience. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams, conducting research, and engaging with stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement research initiatives, methods, and frameworks for the program.
  • Assign research tasks, monitor execution, and provide guidance and timely interventions.
  • Support the preparation of research/policy/project reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement and outreach efforts, including organizing roundtables, workshops, conferences, and one-to-one meetings with government and industry leaders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across sectors, including government, industry, civil society organizations (CSOs), and media.
  • Represent the organization as a senior leader in high-level meetings and events, presenting institutional perspectives and insights.
  • Foster constructive policy-research partnerships with government, industry, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet objectives, timelines, and budgets while aligning with the organization's mission.
  • Monitor project performance and address challenges proactively.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and sustainability.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Technology, Urban planning, Urban design or equivalent disciplines, with a B. Tech. or B.Arch.
  • At least 10 years of full-time experience in research, strategy consulting, or advisory roles focused on Green Cooling, Heat and Cooling Action Plan, Urban planning, Transportation planning, sustainable urban design, etc.
  • Experience working in a think-tank space would be beneficial.
