About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Director to lead our design team and drive design strategy.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our company by designing intuitive solutions that empower both internal teams and external users. You'll build and lead a team of talented product designers, setting a vision for user experience across our products.

You will report directly into the Chief Product Officer and be a key voice in the product leadership team. You will translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling experiences. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to ensure designs meet user needs and push the boundaries of what's possible with AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Vision: Define and drive the holistic design vision for our products, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience across applications.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in product management, engineering, and data science to align on product strategy, goals, and roadmaps.
  • User Advocacy: Advocate for the user through research, testing, and feedback, ensuring design decisions are informed by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
  • Design Systems: Maintain and establish a centralized design system with standards, patterns, and best practices for designing with AI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in product design within a technology or product-centric company.
  • Proven experience leading a team of designers who design AI-powered products or features.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a track record of using data to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent relationship management skills working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex design concepts and strategies.
