Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

This role is responsible for leading and coordinating electrical maintenance activities in the plant, ensuring safe execution of tasks and timely implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance.

  • Maintenance Coordination:
  • Develops and implements detailed maintenance procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Monitors equipment performance and maintenance costs to optimize resource allocation.
  • Liaises with other departments to coordinate work activities and arrange plant shutdowns as needed.
  • Stores Management:
  • Reviews requirements for new equipment or major repairs and provides recommendations for optimal solutions.
  • Ensures adequate supply of consumables and verifies their quality standards.
  • Safety & 5S:
  • Ensures daily execution of 5S activities on the shop floor to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Verifies use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees and workers.
  • Innovation & Improvement:
  • Drives continuous improvement projects to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Conducts analysis using 7 QC tools and suggests changes/modifications in production processes.
  • Team Management:
  • Completes departmental performance reviews in a timely manner.
  • Assesses employee skills and works towards improving individual performance indices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical, Instrumentation
  • Total Years of Experience: 15-20 years in Cold Rolling Mill Electrical Maintenance department
