Maintenance Planning Team Lead Position

This role is a key leadership position within the Maintenance and Turnaround organization.

You will provide routine maintenance planning support to various assets and oversee a team of maintenance planners, schedulers, and permit writers who develop detailed plans and schedules for planned maintenance and project work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate non-turnaround routine maintenance work at the site.
  • Provide expertise on planning, estimating, and scheduling for projects.
  • Ensure development of work packages that meet industry standards.
  • Drive accountability regarding standard planning and estimating tools and practices.
  • Deliver quality execution work plans and updates on scope status and forecast.
  • Work closely with Operations to integrate schedules into the operating plan.
  • Partner with Asset Maintenance Team Leads to feed planned work into asset integrated plans.
  • Develop tools to streamline cost and execution forecasting accuracy and report on status at individual project and portfolio level.
  • Seek opportunities to improve planning and scheduling accuracy and remove inefficiencies from planning and scheduling activities.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or maintenance discipline.
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience in a Maintenance Planning Leadership Position.
  • Strong technical background in planning and scheduling tools – JDE, SAP, Prometheus, Primavera P6.
  • Understanding of planning processes including constructability, advanced work packaging, work planning, project scoping, contract planning and management, progress measurement/controls, and materials management.
  • Knowledgeable in core maintenance and technical project planning and scheduling industry best practices.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation/controls, fabrication, inspection, and related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of maintenance planning and execution experience providing technical support to plant maintenance teams.
  • Familiarity supporting Operations within the Refining or LNG industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
