GIS Data Analyst Job

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GIS Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in spatial data analysis and visualization using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Power BI.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in turning complex geographic data into actionable insights to support decision-making and planning. They will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data using ArcGIS, QGIS, and other GIS tools.

The GIS Data Analyst will create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to communicate geographic trends and insights effectively. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including planners, engineers, and data scientists to understand project requirements and deliver spatial solutions.

The incumbent will perform data cleaning, processing, and integration of geospatial datasets from various sources. They will support site selection, environmental analysis, demographic mapping, and other GIS-related studies.

The GIS Data Analyst will maintain and update GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. They will generate reports, maps, and presentations to support project stakeholders and decision-makers.

The successful candidate will stay updated on emerging GIS technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field. A minimum of 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in GIS data analysis and mapping is required.

Candidates should have strong experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, and related spatial analysis tools. Proficiency in data visualization and reporting using Power BI is essential. Experience in integrating GIS with other data platforms and workflows is also desirable.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of coordinate systems, spatial data formats, and geoprocessing tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for this role.
