Procurement Manager Job Description

As a key member of our organization, the Procurement Manager plays a vital role in ensuring seamless supply chain operations. This position involves developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet production demands and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategize and execute procurement plans to optimize raw material sourcing and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and maintain a robust supply chain network.
  • Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve any procurement-related issues efficiently.
  • Stay informed about market trends and pricing fluctuations for steel products to adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, finance, and plant planning, to ensure aligned procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by balancing availability and cost considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document procurement activities and prepare performance reports on cost savings, supplier evaluations, and other key metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in materials science, engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement within the steel or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficiency in SAP Hana applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
