Job Title: Account Director - Public Relations

Transformative Leadership Role

Account Directors lead our dynamic teams in crafting and executing strategic, creative communication solutions for clients. This key leadership role requires a deep understanding of integrated communications, stakeholder management, and business development.

As a senior point of contact, the Account Director works closely with internal teams, external partners, and client CXOs to bring communication strategies to life across traditional and digital platforms. This individual plays a crucial role in building the firm's visibility and business by developing compelling pitches and nurturing client relationships at the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and grow client relationships at both operational and leadership (CXO) levels through regular strategic and digital advocacy, including crisis management when needed.
  • Translate overall strategies into actionable tactical plans and ensure timely delivery by the team.
  • Develop award-winning, insightful ideas to drive results and brand influence for clients.
  • Build and improve relationships with senior journalists and influencers across the country.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of a national media universe for all clients.
  • Guide Account Managers and team members in tracking news trends and proactively pitching stories to secure media coverage.
  • Drive new business opportunities by participating in and leading client pitches focused on social and digital strategy, investigative research, campaign analytics, and media monitoring.
  • Directs the Account Manager in client retention, improvement of Client Satisfaction Score & overall servicing cost management of client portfolio.
  • Coaches, develops, and mentors a team of highly engaged individuals & empowers them to succeed in their careers.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate & nurture positive working relationships with clients, colleagues within the agency, and across the network.
  • Demonstrate thinking and innovation skills during challenging projects.
  • Self-motivation: Should be able to create their own schedule and routine to keep themselves focused on the task without distractions.
  • Willingness to learn and use digital tools: Virtual communication and collaboration is key.
  • Time consciousness: Value your own time as well as the team's time Setting meetings and deadlines at appropriate hours to ensure they work in sync with everyone else.
  • Critical thinking: Should be able to think creatively or use tools which help in fleshing out ideas.

Requirements:

  • Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/PR/Journalism from a reputable institute or MBA in Marketing.
  • 10 - 13 years' experience in a PR Agency.
