Senior Data Engineer - SQL

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to fill a key position at our organization. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems using advanced SQL development skills.

  • Analyze and resolve complex data quality issues across multiple related tables.
  • Design and implement efficient database schema changes and rollback strategies.
  • Collaborate with product and QA teams to ensure data accuracy and reproducibility.
  • Document root cause analysis and communicate solutions to stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Advanced SQL Development: Strong hands-on experience with complex joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
  • Data Remediation Expertise: Proven ability to debug and fix production data issues.
  • Database Migration & Rollback Experience: Familiarity with schema migrations and rollback tools.
  • Data Validation & QA: Ability to design and execute validation steps to ensure accuracy.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in ETL processes, data pipelines, or big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

A background in computer science or a related field is preferred but not required.
