Job Opportunity for Lead Security Engineer

This role involves managing technical resources to deliver technology lifecycle and working with or for a global exchange or a global financial firm.

  • Timely and effective security incident response within a 24x7 SOC environment is essential.
  • Leading operation teams to maintain the lifecycle of both on-premises and cloud-based security solutions requires strong leadership skills.
  • Managing response to security and operational incidents, and ongoing security requests demands excellent communication skills.
  • Coordinating and managing security incidents to ensure swift identification, containment, and remediation is critical.
  • Developing and maintaining incident response playbooks and procedures require in-depth knowledge of security technologies.
  • Participating and contributing to industry cyber forums, both formal and informal, enhances professional development.
  • Supporting all audits and reviews requests ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring developments in the information security industry and communicating on potential impact or applicability to the organization is essential.

Vulnerability Management:

  • Supporting global vulnerability management processes including operating system (OS) and infrastructure patching, hardening, and testing efforts is crucial.
  • Conducting regular vulnerability assessments (VAPT) and prioritizing remediation activities helps prevent security breaches.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to implement and validate security patches and updates ensures seamless integration.

Security Tools Operation:

  • Managing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for security solutions includes new investments and business-as-usual financials.
  • Operating and managing various security tools including Host Intrusion Detection Systems (HIDS), Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), analysers, scanners, and more requires in-depth knowledge of security technologies.
  • Continuously monitoring and analyzing security tools to identify active threats, attacks, vulnerabilities, and exposures helps prevent security breaches.
  • Prioritizing identified threats and vulnerabilities for remediation activities within the team is essential.
