Cloud Data Engineer

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet the organization's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Composer.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design optimal data pipelines.
  • Implement data integration solutions to ingest, process, and store structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and metadata to support data analytics and reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to data workflows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on GCP.
  • Proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Composer.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
