Job Summary:
The Head of Business Development will be responsible for creating and implementing sales strategies to increase market penetration and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of success in the heavy engineering and equipment manufacturing industry.

Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market penetration and drive revenue growth
- Diversify product ranges in consultation with customer requirements and the manufacturing team
- Create strategies to manage competition and build enduring relationships with all customers
- Develop pricing policies and deploy strategies to drive pricing policy with the team
- Build strategic alliances supporting JV partners and all stakeholders
- Support JV partners and the JV in executing large sales orders
- Deliver cross-JV sales orders
- Prepare plans for business development with the brand team for the JV in concurrence with JV partners
- Represent the JV in various trade associations, exhibitions, and other events
- Prepare annual business plans for sales and marketing functions and ensure deployment for the JV
- Nurture talent and create a leadership pipeline in the team
- Ensure that each business unit is provided with relevant strategic guidance to achieve the direction set out by the CEO and the board
- Ensure that the JV is developing and maintaining existing relations with various external and internal partners
- Liaise across different departments to source information to strategize and increase the competitive advantage of the organization
- Drive organizational initiatives like safety, health, etc. in the team
- Facilitate all Sales & Marketing functions in developing roadmaps and strategies and oversee the successful implementation of the same

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university
- Full-time MBA in Marketing from Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges in India
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Heavy Engineering, Equipment Manufacturing in Capital Goods Industry
- Preference would be given to candidates from the Railway sector with experience in freight cars, locomotives, metro coaches
- Exposure to the international market is preferable

Salary:
Estimated salary for this position is ₹1,500,000 - ₹2,500,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary will be paid in accordance with the company's compensation policy, which takes into account factors such as performance, industry standards, and market conditions.
