About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with HVAC expertise and French language proficiency to fill this challenging position.

  • Undertake mechanical design in accordance with local and international standards, covering Canada, USA, and UK regions.
  • Design and model various mechanical components using Revit, including air conditioning, ventilation, tunnel ventilation, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  • Carry out mechanical calculations utilizing software such as Hevacomp, HAP, IES, eQUEST, and other equivalent tools.
  • Ensure project completion within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Collaborate with team leaders/senior engineers in presenting design solutions to clients and contractors.
Responsibilities:
  • Verify own mechanical design deliverables and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Estimate project costs and liaise with system engineers, third parties, and specialist suppliers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare reports on sustainability options within building and infrastructure services.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience as a mechanical engineer in a consultancy setting.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer (PEng/CEng/IEng) or have made significant progress toward Chartership.
  • 5-12 years of relevant experience in building services.
Required Skills:
  • Membership in ASHARE, IMechE, CIBSE, and PEng/CEng/IEng status.
  • Good command of English and French languages, along with effective communication skills.
  • Experience with computer-based design tools like Hevacomp, HAP, and IES etc.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM skills.
