Senior Cloud Storage Quality Assurance Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of cloud storage solutions as a Senior Cloud Storage Quality Assurance Professional.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our software development engineering team in designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality of our cloud storage solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test cases to validate the functionality and performance of our cloud storage solutions
  • Design and implement testing frameworks and tools to automate testing processes
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve defects in the system
  • Identify and prioritize testing needs based on business requirements and technical feasibility
  • Develop and implement testing plans to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on cloud infrastructure and storage systems
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools (fio, vdbench)
  • Strong scripting skills (Java/Python/Bash/Go) and test automation experience
  • Familiarity with kernel debugging (strace, eBPF, WinDbg)
  • Experience with cloud storage platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Open-source storage contributions (Ceph, ZFS, kernel)
  • Production war stories of finding and fixing nasty bugs
  • Knowledge of RAID, erasure coding, or tiering algorithms
  • Experience with fault injection, fuzzing, and adversarial approaches
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
