Job Title:

Database Administrator Lead

Job Summary:

As a seasoned Database Administrator Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SQL and NoSQL databases across on-premises and cloud environments. You will ensure database availability, reliability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement database strategies to meet business needs.
  • Lead a team of DBAs in database administration, performance tuning, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application performance and scalability.
  • Implement database security policies, user access management, and compliance measures.
  • Drive database automation initiatives for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Strong hands-on experience with any SQL database (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MariaDB).
  • Working experience with at least one NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Couchbase, Redis).
  • Proficiency in cloud database services (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, Cosmos DB, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in SQL/NoSQL Databases or Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in leading migration projects (on-prem to cloud or cross-database migrations).
