Senior Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our Oracle RAC production databases.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of our database infrastructure, providing installation, monitoring, patching and database administration operations and maintenance services for Oracle Database, Oracle Advanced Security and Oracle RMAN.

  • Administer Oracle RAC production databases running Oracle 19c or higher on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Design, create and maintain all databases required for development, testing and production environments
  • Establish database security to ensure data integrity, including access control
  • Manage database storage, backups and recovery processes

You will work closely with other DBAs, application administrators, developers and testers to improve system performance, data quality and define requirements.

Requirements
  • Expertise in SQL and Oracle Database Administration tools
  • Experience with Database Management Systems such as Microsoft (MS) SQL Server
  • Strong practical knowledge in writing shell scripts/SQL/PLSQL for Database administration purpose
  • Installation of WebLogic service like Tomcat/ORDS

Preferred skills include:

  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL/PLSQL
  • Working knowledge of LINUX and shell scripting
  • Experience configuring database/network connectivity
