Job Title: Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Bookkeeper to manage our financial records with accuracy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, strong communication skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and solid knowledge of Canadian accounting practices and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations (BRS)
  • Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with Canadian payroll regulations
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review
  • Manage invoicing, billing, and collections efficiently
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as needed
  • Use accounting software proficiently to manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, or opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial laws and regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, Experience in healthcare or clinical setting will be an asset
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) or equivalent degree
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software tools
  • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations (BRS), accounts payable (AP), and Canadian payroll regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with high accuracy and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws and compliance is a plus
