Senior Correspondent Job Description

About the role:

  • Lead polling coverage, driving insights on central bank decisions, economic data, and market trends.
  • Develop a diverse source base through relationships with economists, strategists, investors, and policymakers.
  • React quickly to breaking macroeconomic data and offer timely analysis to the team.
  • Shape polling content with initiative pieces, thought-provoking trends, and sharp storytelling about market risks.
  • Collaborate with global correspondents on stories and polls.

About you:

  • At least four years of experience as a correspondent or reporter, preferably covering economic policy or markets.
  • Passion for big issues facing economic trends and their impact on people and markets.
  • Strong writing skills with accuracy and impartiality.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, including snap polls in response to news.
  • Collaborative spirit and willingness to mentor junior colleagues.
  • Interest in AI for news coverage.
  • Prior polling experience is a plus but not essential.
