About this Leadership Role:

The primary goal of this position is to maintain a high level of operational efficiency through continuous analysis of food quality and production costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain set standards, monitor time management, and provide ongoing training to ensure adherence to organizational guidelines.
  • Ensure safe and quality food products and complete guest satisfaction through diligent attention to detail.
  • Develop and implement systems, procedures, and rules that align with business objectives and timelines.
  • Work within a technical area of expertise to improve service and product quality.
  • Display a helpful and accommodating manner when interacting with colleagues and guests.
  • Accept objectives set by others and work within agreed parameters to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Mentor, counsel, and coach subordinates to boost morale and personal esteem.
  • Promote a positive team atmosphere within the administration department.
  • Ensure full adherence to menus, recipes, methods, and operational specifics provided by the organization.
  • Seek direction from others when necessary and achieve set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily food tastings and correct discrepancies immediately.
  • Monitor and assist section heads to prepare electronic food requisitions according to forecasted figures.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient service, presentation, and final plating during dinner service.
  • Monitor production and preparation levels using the Culinary Checklist.
  • Comply with Public Health regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership experience, and a minimum of 8 years in the profession.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, effective communication with senior management, and ability to lead and make decisions.
  • Good administrative skills, experienced in coaching subordinates, and cost and quality conscious.
  • Ability to work under pressure, adhere to scheduled work hours, and be flexible when circumstances require it.
  • Collaborate with international team members.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cruise Ship Experience, 5-star Hotel background.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
