Mac Support Specialist Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mac support specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have experience supporting macOS systems in a professional environment, with a solid understanding of Apple hardware and software.

  • Provide top-notch support for macOS-based systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist users with issues related to MacBooks, iMacs, macOS updates, and commonly used applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, system checks, and software updates.
  • Configure and support Apple Mail, MS Outlook, VPN, printers, and network connectivity on macOS.
  • Manage user accounts, profiles, and system preferences.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage macOS devices using Jamf Pro, as well as other MDM platforms like Intune or Kandji.
  • Document support issues, resolutions, and processes in a ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in Mac desktop support or a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of macOS, Apple hardware, and the Apple ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting steps.
  • Experience with remote support tools, such as Apple Remote Desktop, TeamViewer, or AnyDesk.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Bash or AppleScript.
  • Proficiency in helpdesk/ticketing systems, like Jira or ServiceNow.
Preferred Certifications
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
  • Jamf Certified Associate
