Printer Support Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in desktop support and a passion for delivering cutting-edge technology solutions.
- Knowledge of printers, plotters, and printing from a mainframe is essential.
- Experience with Mainframe >> VPS >> VPSX is required.
- Understanding of OCR - documents from Mainframe and queue management is necessary.
- Software installation and upgrades activities are critical.
- Badge Authentication and badge issues must be managed effectively.
- Printer troubleshooting issues such as driver installation, mapping of printers, print queues, and new printer requests require prompt attention.
- Hardware issues related to printers must be handled efficiently.
- Managing print services on the server is a key responsibility.
- Patching activities on print servers and validations are crucial.
- Leading vendor calls and creating SOPs are important tasks.
- Health checks, weekly highlights, and monthly reports are also responsibilities.
- Handling p1, p2 tickets and MI's requires effective problem-solving skills.
- RCA and monitoring enterprise print services using OMPlus and LRS VPSX are essential duties.
- OMPlus for centralized job control and monitoring.
- LRS VPSX – For output management and delivery.
- HP Web Jetadmin- for Device discovery, configuration, and firmware updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user print issues – including print errors, Print queue issues, new printer requests and connectivity problems.
- Manage print drivers and firmware upgrades.
- OS knowledge (Windows Server/Unix server).
