Job Description:

This role involves preparing cost estimates and providing advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements.

  • Pricing documents for tender packages are to be prepared
  • Instructions to tenderers are to be drafted
  • Commercial evaluation of all tender submissions and negotiation with tenderers is required

The incumbent will also assist in the development of tender evaluation criteria, drafting of PQQ questionnaires, and ascertaining amounts due to contractors for price variation.

In addition, this role involves determining amounts of claims, preparing and feeding into monthly Cost Reports, and providing commercial support to other departments across offices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, a strong understanding of QS & cost management processes, IT literacy and proficiency with MS Office are required.

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification is essential
  • 5-10 years' experience in construction estimation is necessary
  • Chartered QS under a recognized organization such as RICS, SCSI, AIQS etc. is required

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure are essential requirements.
