Job Title: Taxation Specialist

Description

We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to oversee and manage all aspects of taxation within our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and maximizing tax benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize our company's tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure that our company remains compliant with all applicable tax requirements.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other filings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, working to resolve issues efficiently and minimize tax exposure.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives, identify tax-saving opportunities, and mitigate tax risks.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on tax-related matters to enhance their understanding and effectiveness in tax compliance and planning.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams, to ensure alignment of tax strategies with business objectives.
  • Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and transactions, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Lead or participate in special tax projects as assigned by management, such as M&A transactions, restructuring activities, or tax optimization initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, or a related field.
