Job Description

We are seeking an experienced network engineer to provide level 2 operational support for a remote contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Tetration and be responsible for supporting and managing the customer's platform deployed in their data center environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Cisco Tetration platform. This includes day-to-day monitoring, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing level 2 operational support for Cisco Tetration, including day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Assisting in the configuration and deployment of Cisco Tetration components and sensors.
  • Supporting the implementation of application segmentation and micro-segmentation policies across the data center environment.
  • Analyzing telemetry data to ensure network visibility, security posture, and compliance.
  • Collaborating with internal IT and security teams to troubleshoot policy conflicts and application visibility issues.
  • Assisting with upgrades, patches, and performance tuning of the Tetration platform.
  • Maintaining technical documentation and support logs related to Cisco Tetration operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • 7–8 years of total experience in Network Engineering or IT Infrastructure roles.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Tetration platform in operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), VLANs, ACLs, and firewalls.
  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, virtualization (VMware), and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with application traffic mapping, segmentation, and policy enforcement using Cisco Tetration.
  • Familiarity with network and security best practices, compliance, and audit reporting.
