International Admission Support Officer Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join our team as an International Admission Support Officer.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to support the recruitment function in South Asia.

  • Applicant Counselling and Admissions Assessment activities:
    1. Review applications and documents submitted by students or agents, requesting additional information and documentation as needed.
    2. Utilize CRM systems (Salesforce) and related tools to manage leads and applications.
    3. Screen students for academic abilities and goals to determine eligibility to study at Algonquin College.
    4. Respond to inquiries via email, video conferencing/meeting, and social media platforms from students and/or agents.
    5. Facilitate applications and maximize conversion of leads to registered students.
  • Applicants Guidance and Support:
    1. Provide counselling and admission guidance to ensure students apply to programs commensurate with their academic potential and career goals.
    2. Collect and enter accurate inquiry details in the CRM system (Salesforce).
    3. Follow up with students met at recruitment events according to an agreed-upon schedule to increase application conversion.
  • Inquiries and Lead Management:
    1. Provide timely and tailored responses to inquiries received via generic email accounts and marketing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2-years experience in domestic or international student admissions in higher education.
  • Experience communicating with diverse audiences, tailoring written and spoken communication as necessary.
  • Experience organizing events.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce can be beneficial.
Education and Qualifications:

Prior experience and relevant skills are essential, and a degree in Business or Marketing is desirable.

  • Time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a target-oriented environment.
  • Pleasing telephone manners.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
