Job Title: Programme Manager - Nutrition

About the Role

Our team is seeking an experienced professional to lead our nutrition-focused initiatives. Reporting to a senior leader, you will be responsible for developing and managing proposals and grants in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for generating leads and building a pipeline of nutrition-specific concepts and proposals;
  • Collaborate with team members to curate problem statements and co-develop and support in building RFPs;
  • Evaluate relevant concepts and proposals for grantmaking at regular intervals and/or support the program team in conducting the same;
  • Conduct budget assessments for new proposals and manage the monitoring and supervision of grants/programs;
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional units such as finance, legal, communications, and others as required;
  • Develop high-quality content for various audiences, including case studies, reports, concept notes, pitch decks, articles/blog posts, etc.;
  • Support in the development of annual work plans and budgets collaboratively;
  • Maintain relationships with grantees and partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD or Master's degree in Public Health Nutrition, Food and Nutrition Sciences, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, or related disciplines.

You should have at least 5 years of experience in public health nutrition, food and related program development, research and policy. Prior experience in philanthropy and grant making is an asset.

Strong problem-solving skills, data and innovation orientation, strategic thinking, agility, and adaptability are necessary.

A deep commitment and passion for the social development sector is necessary, as well as awareness and knowledge of field realities and social complexities with a focus on communities.
