Job Title: Financial Management Assistant

This position is responsible for managing the financial functions of a large organization. The successful candidate will have experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, and budgeting.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Verify and account for bank payment entries in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
    • Verify and account for cash payment entries in the ERP system.
    • Prepare bank NEFT letters and obtain signatures from authorized persons for payments.
    • Prepare payment advices and send emails to relevant departments.
    • Prepare fund requirement statements as per fund requirements and obtain signatures from authorized persons for fund requests to headquarters.
    • Verify and account for consultancy bills and recommend payment.
    • Update and maintain dashboards for university overhead income, professional development fund, etc.
    • Closing all journal entries and other accounting entries on a monthly basis.
    • Preparation of monthly cash books with closing cash on hand.
    • Preparation of daily bank and cash balance dashboards.
    • Students' refunds reconciliation.
    • Vehicle loan EMI payments & reconciliation.
    • Processing of Provident Fund (PF), Employees State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax, TDS Payments.
    • Providing information for TDS returns filing.
    • Collecting provisional and final investment declarations for Income Tax and supporting documents from employees and updating the same in the ERP system.
    • Co-ordination for Employee Form 16.
    • Verification and processing of salaries.
    • Verification and processing of Ph.D., PDF, and M.Tech stipends.
    • Full and final settlement of salary for resigned employees.
    • Finding new ways to improve existing processes.
