Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Development Engineer to join our Observability Services team. As a key member of our cloud-based infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing and developing observability solutions that enable us to monitor and optimize our applications hosted on Pega Cloud.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Observability Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop robust observability solutions that provide real-time insights into application performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Microservices Monitoring: Responsible for monitoring microservices used in Pega Cloud services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Metric Collection and Logging: Enable observability monitoring capabilities by collecting metrics, logs, and APM (tracing) data from applications hosted on Pega Cloud.
  • Kubernetes and Docker Expertise: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform is required to manage and maintain monitoring tools and technologies.
  • Troubleshooting and RCA: Analyze monitoring data and log analysis to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
Requirements:
  • CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES EXPERTISE: 4+ years of experience in cloud technologies, including AWS core concepts and services.
  • OBSERVABILITY TOOLING: Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, New Relic, etc.
  • INFRASTRUCTURE-AS-CODE DELIVERY MODEL: Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code delivery models.
  • DevOps and CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and development (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins.
  • EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
