Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our project delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the critical functions of our projects, working under the supervision of senior or project engineers.

  • Develop feasibility study reports that meet brief requirements and review with the CRC Head of Structures.
  • Collaborate with the WSP SG Team to create design specifications aligned with employer needs, agree on format and content, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Agree and monitor scope of works with the Local iCRC Head of Structures.
  • Define building requirements and purpose of use with the Local iCRC Head of Structures and the WSP SG Team for detailed design.
  • Carry out detailed design to WSP and B Regulations standard, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  • Review and monitor calculation production, including QA and technical reviews.
  • Ensure information for project costing preparation is completed in detail and to deadlines, keeping the WSP SG Team informed on design progress.
  • Provide documentary information via the WSP SG Team to assist in tender document preparation.
  • Coordinate project contracts documents (drawings and specifications) and review input from team members.
  • Handle day-to-day queries from the WSP SG Team, ensuring relevant information is available on time for construction activity.
  • Report any variance between constructed works and design intent to the WSP SG Team and Local iCRC Head of Structures.
  • Project manage commissions from the WSP SG Team, utilizing applicable project management tools.
  • Lead the design process, encouraging the team to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Follow document control, archiving CDM, and QA processes, coaching junior staff in their usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proven track record in Building Structures design, preferably with significant experience in a similar role.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Fully conversant with structural software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABSs, and SAFE.
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project essentials.
  • Fluent in English with excellent understanding of technical terminology.

Additionally, the candidate should have good management, communication, and technical skills, capable of working within the team and independently.
