Data & Recon Team Lead

Job Summary:

The Data & Recon Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of intelligence gathering, data analysis, and strategic decision-making. This role requires effective leadership, adaptability to changing environments, and a commitment to ethical conduct and data privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 5-10 professionals in handling various tasks and projects.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with other departments to enhance integration and collaboration.
  • Establish and achieve team goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage the team's budget and resources to maximize productivity and effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects and commitments.
  • Design and implement training and development plans to enhance skillsets and knowledge.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Identify and mitigate security risks associated with the team's work.
  • Engage in strategic thinking and generate innovative ideas to benefit the company.
  • Lead and mentor team members, offering guidance and opportunities for growth.

Required Skills:

  • Proven project management skills and ability to handle multiple initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to anticipate outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles, including waterfall and agile.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience leading an operational team in a relevant industry.
  • Proven leadership experience within a cross-functional capacity.
  • Prior experience/familiarity in SQL and database concepts is preferred.
