Job Title:

Data Platform Engineer

About the Role

This position involves designing, developing and maintaining large-scale big data pipelines. The role requires strong technical skills, particularly in Scala and Java applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with containerization technology (Docker), cloud-native platforms, and big data technologies such as Logstash, Kafka, Big Query, Data Flow Elasticsearch, MongoDB or similar products.

A deep understanding of machine learning products and their infrastructure is also a requirement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Architect and develop mission-critical pieces of our Next Gen big data pipeline.
  2. Create features and maximize performance at multiple levels of the stack: Scala applications, Java Applications, data ingestion, data processing, orchestration, scripting and bare metal.
  3. Gain a deep understanding of how this infrastructure enables our suite of machine learning products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with big data technologies.
  • Experience with strongly typed compiled languages (Java, Go, etc.).
  • Exposure to Linux (CentOS or RHEL is a plus).
  • Great team attitude and gets stuff done mindset.
