Role Description

Looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of data pipelines and infrastructure across enterprise-scale platforms.

Responsibilities :

a) Architect, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time workflows

b) Optimize data storage and retrieval systems using technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, and cloud-native tools

c) Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product teams to deliver high-quality data solutions

d) Define best practices and standards in data governance, modelling, quality, and security

e) Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance data infrastructure for reliability and performance

f) Lead initiatives for cloud migration or modernization on the Azure platform

g) Mentor junior team members and foster a data-driven engineering culture

Requirements :

a) 5-10 years of experience in data engineering.

b) Must Have proven experience leading or being a key contributor in building full-fledged data warehouses or data marts on the Azure cloud platform.

c) Must have experience with data migration from in-house to Azure cloud platform

d) Strong SQL and data modelling skills.

e) Experience with ETL/ELT tools and technologies.

f) Expert in SQL and Python (or Scala/Java as needed)

g) Proficient with distributed systems: Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka

h) Familiarity with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (a plus)

i) Version control: Git, CI/CD tools

Qualifications : BE/BTech from a Tier1/ Tier-2 engineering college.
