Staff SW Systems Engineer Position

The Staff SW Systems Engineer is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and influencing at all levels to drive security engineering across the organization.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical initiatives and projects, with a focus on cloud-native environments and DevOps security practices.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure configurations and governance controls in cloud-native environments.
  • Developing and enforcing policies and procedures related to access management, encryption, logging/monitoring, and network security.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and making recommendations for future improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in information security or compliance engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
  • Solid knowledge of access management, encryption, logging/monitoring, and network security principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or AWS Security Specialty.
  • Experience with compliance automation platforms.
  • Background in regulated industries such as fintech, healthcare, or government.
