Procurement Professional

Job Overview:

  • The Procurement Manager will be responsible for procuring quality products at optimal costs and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify new products in the market, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and present findings to management.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement of assigned materials and ensure timely delivery of materials to sites and timely payments to suppliers.
  • Optimize inventory by minimizing lot sizes and reducing delivery lead times.
  • Transfer excess dead stock to other locations.
  • Develop relationships with vendors by assessing their performance and undertaking joint improvement projects.
  • Coordinate effectively with all sites. Regular site visits are essential.
  • Establish strong networking within and outside the organization.
  • Continuously monitor, review, and take timely corrective actions to achieve targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in construction materials is necessary.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings is preferred.
  • Enhance product value and make annual rate contracts obtain alternative products/vendors or substitute OEMs.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills are required for effective coordination with all sites.
  • Inventory control by optimizing lot sizes and reducing delivery lead times is crucial.
  • Research-oriented role requires continuous monitoring and review of performance.
  • Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in purchase is necessary.
  • Experience in real estate is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of property market dynamics, valuation, and laws is essential.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in real estate management software and tools is necessary.
