Job Title: Treasury Specialist

The Senior Analyst – Treasury plays a pivotal role in managing organizational finances, including liquidity, foreign exchange exposures, and investments. This demanding position requires an individual with strong corporate treasury experience, exceptional financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to optimize cash, risk, and funding strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Liquidity Management

  • Manage daily cash flows to ensure optimal liquidity across geographies.
  • Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements to support informed decision-making.
  • Support automation initiatives such as host-to-host payments to streamline operations.

Foreign Exchange & Risk Management

  • Monitor FX exposures and execute hedging strategies as per policy to mitigate risks.
  • Calculate MTM valuations and prepare exposure reports to facilitate data-driven decisions.
  • Work with internal teams on FX negotiations and derivative instruments to secure favorable terms.

Investment Management

  • Evaluate and recommend investment options (FDs, money markets, bonds, etc.) that align with organizational objectives.
  • Assess risk-return trade-offs and ensure compliance with investment policies to safeguard assets.
  • Track portfolio performance, P&L, and maintain investment registers to provide visibility into investments.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Liaise with internal teams for treasury operations to establish effective processes.
  • Negotiate banking terms to reduce cost of borrowing and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal treasury policies to maintain regulatory adherence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of corporate treasury operations is essential.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, MS Excel, and treasury management systems (TMS) is required.
  • Knowledge of hedging instruments, derivatives, and investment options is necessary.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills are crucial for success.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • MBA in Finance (CFA/FRM preferred) or equivalent degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant corporate treasury experience is mandatory.
  • Experience limited to banking roles will not be considered.
