Control Systems Engineer Lead

This position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of control systems in industrial settings.

• Design and Implement Control Systems: Develop and manage software for control systems, including designing and implementing Allen Bradley software.
• Collaborate with End Users: Collaborate with end users to enhance applications and participate in the full lifecycle of project development from blueprinting to deployment.
• PLC Programming and HMI Development: Proficiency in PLC programming, understanding of HMI/SCADA development, and experience with Allen Bradley software are required.
• Code Review and Troubleshooting: This role may also involve code review and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.

• Automated Control Platforms: Possess in-depth knowledge and experience with industry-leading automated control platforms Siemens and Rockwell, understanding both hardware and software technologies offered.
• Change Agent and Project Management: Influence in bringing standards across divisions with proven change agent skills and driven to impact technology and processes while balancing organizational outcomes throughout the business.
• Communication and Collaboration: The ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities across a global team is required.
• Industrial Communication Networks: Understanding of Industrial Communication Networks (Ethernet, Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, DH+, etc.) and associated programming software (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, etc.).
• Omac Standards and Modular Programming: Proven ability to implement common OMAC standards like PACK ML, ISA 88, and solid understanding of modular programming techniques.

• Experience in Control Systems: Over 12+ years of hands-on experience in designing, programming, and implementing control systems for custom / packaging automation projects.
• Integration and Innovation: Experience integrating new technologies and services with Enterprise IT solutions, identify, assess, and prove-out technical innovations that strengthen intelligent systems.
• Scada/Mes Platforms: Track record implementing at least one of the following SCADA/MES platforms: Ignition, Dynamics 365, Rockwell, Wonderware, or GE.
• Collaboration and Custom Automation: Extensive experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate control systems seamlessly into automation projects.
• Documentation and Technical Support: Excellent documentation skills, including the creation of control system architecture diagrams, wiring schematics, and user manuals, and ability to provide technical support and expertise during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of custom automation projects.
• Programming and Configuration: Proficient in programming PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to achieve precise control and monitoring of automation processes.
• System Level Approach: System level approach to the complete machine program with a high focus on recovery from start to finish.
• Robotics, Automation, and Design: Experience in robotics, automation systems, vision systems, proximity and photo sensors, servo controls, etc., and competent skills with PC's, networking, device communications, integration, and design.
• Autocad Electrical and Component Selection: Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and comprehensive knowledge of electrical component selection and panel layout design.
• Communication and Project Management: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with customers and team members, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, management, customers, and general public, and strong project management and analytical skills.
• Microsoft Office and Commercial Components: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), and strong knowledge in commercial components supporting partners.

• Domestic and Global Travel: Occasional domestic and/or global travel may be required for this position up to 10%.
