Lead Motion Control Engineer

Meril Life Sciences seeks a skilled Lead Robot Control Engineer to design and implement cutting-edge surgical robotic systems.
This role involves:
- Designing and implementing real-time motion control software using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, Structured Text, and C++.
- Developing PLC logic for motor control, sensor integration, and actuator feedback.
- Collaborating on control system architecture to meet safety, precision, and performance requirements for surgical robotic arms.
- Integrating motion controllers, encoders, and servo drives into the system.
- Participating in system bring-up, debugging, calibration, and tuning of servo systems.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field, and a minimum of 3 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in motion control software development using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 Structured Text), and C++.
Key qualifications include:
- Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 experience.
- PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 Structured Text) skills.
- C++ programming expertise in real-time or embedded systems.
- Experience with servo motors, encoders, motion profiling, PID tuning.
- Understanding of industrial fieldbuses such as EtherCAT.
