Job Title

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our team. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for owning the design strategy and user experience of KhetPe platform.

You will act as the voice of the user, creating and validating wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that bring simplicity, trust, and impact to farmer-centric digital experiences.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience shipping rural customer-facing or mass-market apps with measurable adoption and engagement impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning design strategy and quarterly UX roadmap aligned to business goals.
  • Translate product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fi designs using Figma and Miro.
  • Define and maintain design systems, UI patterns, and style guides to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Partner with Product Owners to convert epics and user stories into design deliverables with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct end-to-end user research: interviews, field visits, surveys, and usability testing with farmers, FPOs, and partners.
  • Translate feedback into actionable design improvements, balancing usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility.
  • Champion UX for rural contexts: vernacular flows, low-bandwidth/offline-first design, accessibility, and culturally relevant trust cues.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure pixel-perfect handoff, clarity on design specifications, and smooth implementation.
  • Run design experiments (A/B testing, prototypes) and analyze outcomes to optimize key funnels (onboarding, engagement, transactions).
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, data privacy guidelines, and local regulations in all user interfaces.
  • Prepare demos, storyboards, and training material for cross-functional launches with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor interfaces, and evolving UX best practices to keep up with changing needs.
  • Report weekly on design progress, open issues, and risks; ensure alignment with Product and Engineering teams.

Candidate Profile & Skill Requirements:

  • 5–8 years in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years designing for mobile-first products at scale.
  • Proven experience conducting field research and usability testing with diverse user groups.
  • Expertise in Figma / Adobe XD, and prototyping tools.
  • Strong command of information architecture, interaction design, and visual hierarchy.
  • User research, usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative design practices.
  • Familiarity with design for low-bandwidth, multilingual, and offline-first contexts.
  • Ability to create design systems and scalable UI libraries.
  • BASIC knowledge of HTML/CSS and awareness of front-end engineering constraints.
