Job Title: Electrical Engineer for Solar Projects

We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee and support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar power systems at project sites in remote areas.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in solar PV systems and a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles applied to renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Quality Control: Supervise and monitor all solar PV electrical works on-site, including installation of panels, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and cable routing. Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Review and interpret solar electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), string configurations, and layout plans. Oversee the installation of LV/MV systems, grounding/earthing systems, protection systems, and monitoring equipment.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Activities: Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for solar systems, including insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and inverter testing.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues and propose practical on-site solutions to maintain progress and quality.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Procedures: Implement HSE procedures during electrical installations and inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's is a plus.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in solar PV system installation and supervision.
  • Solar PV System Knowledge: Strong knowledge of solar PV system components (inverters, modules, combiner boxes, etc.). Familiarity with electrical safety standards and testing equipment.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to Work Remotely: Willingness to be based on-site in remote areas.
