Fire Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Fire Life Safety Sales & Design group, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing fire protection systems that meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for project take-offs, specification interpretation, scope of work creation, risk analysis, building code compliance, cost estimation, vendor coordination, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. You will work closely with our Fire Protection & Gas Suppression Team to ensure seamless execution of projects and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement fire protection systems that meet local codes and standards
  • Review MEP drawings, tender specs, and identify fire fighting requirements
  • Complete input studies using checklists and raise RFIs as needed
  • Prepare fire fighting layouts and engineering bills of materials
  • Ensure quality assurance and defect-free fire fighting drawing delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
  • 6-8 years of experience in relevant field
  • Strong domain knowledge of fire fighting and gas suppression systems
  • Ability to independently carry out designing tasks such as Novec, FM200, Inergen, CO2 systems, sprinkler, hydrant, water spray, and special hazards
  • Digital literacy in AutoCAD, SprinkCad, Pipenet, and Fire Cad
  • Knowledge of NFPA, TAC, NBC, and IS codes and standards
